Valley Township Fire Company

VALLEY TOWNSHIP Fire Company will have a fire hall in the near future, thanks to the receipt of 1.9 acres of grounds along Indian Run Road, today. Elmer Folk Sr., third from left, is shown handing over the deed to fire company president Wayne Eister. Shown in photo from left, Stan Gill, township supervisor; Tom Kase, township supervisor chairmen; Folk Eister; Myron Eister, fire chief; Ron Swank, fire company secretary; Andy Pehowic, building committee; Marvin Sassman and Jeff Gum, assistant fire chief. Folk and his two sons, Elmer Folk Jr. and Robert Folk, were given lifetime memberships in the newly formed fire company. Supervisor Tom Kase said the supervisors are “seriously considering” a combined use for the proposed structure, using it as a fire hall and township community center.
